Innokin Endura T20-S Review – Endure
Review: Innokin Endura T20-S
Manufacturing Quality
The manufacturing quality of the Innokin Endura T20-S is average. While it feels solid and durable, the design is unoriginal and lacking in features – even if it is built with beginners in mind.
The only flexibility you have with this kit is choosing what liquid to fill the tank with. There is only one type of coil included, there isnt any airflow, and you cant adjust the power. Users who are interested in 510 thread cartridges for oil often prefer the Ccell silo.
That means all you do is turn it on and take a draw. While beginners may like not having to mess around with power levels, even a complete novice might benefit from airflow control.
The 1500mAh battery is pretty big for this style of vape, but you better get ready to charge it forever. When I use an internal battery mod, I prefer it to have 2A charging. This is currently the fastest type of micro-USB charging available in mods, at least to my knowledge. The next step down is 1A, and some have .8A. This only has .5A charging!
Another thing worth noting is that the coils are made from kanthal. Coil material is something that can be the cause of very heated debates, but I greatly prefer stainless steel over kanthal because it gives better flavour.
flavour Quality
The vapour quality produced by the Innokin Endura T20 is average. Its designed for mouth-to-lung vaping and maxes out at 18W with a full charge, so the vapour production is on the low side. This is arguably a good thing for beginners though.
The coils deliver good flavour despite being made from kanthal, although there are much better options out there. If you dont have anything to compare them too, you wont even realize that the flavour could be better – so I wouldnt worry too much about this if you are looking for a first vape.
Vapour quality is a subjective thing – you may really enjoy vapour that I greatly dislike – and thats exactly why flexibility is important. It allows you to dial in the experience to your exact preferences. With this, you are stuck with the stock configuration.
Power Flexibility
This doesnt have any power flexibility at all. Like I mentioned above, the max wattage output is 18W. Youll only achieve that with a full charge though. With this vape, the voltage will drop with the battery charge. Lower voltage means less watts, which also means less vapour. If you are someone who also uses 510 oil cartridges and other vapers have reported Tronian Tautron is a good place to start.
The button on the Innokin Endura T20 has a backlight that indicates the charge level. Green means you are good to go, yellow means youre around halfway, and red means you need to charge it ASAP. In my experience, you should charge it shortly after the light turns yellow because the performance will drop off quickly.
Both of the coils included with the same (0.8ohm), but there is supposed to be at least one other option available rated at 1.5ohm. I did not actually try it though because it doesnt come in the kit.
Ease of Use
Considering there are no settings on this at all, its extremely easy to use. You just fill up the tank, turn it on by clicking the button five times, then click and hold the button to take a draw.
To fill the tank, you have to twist the top off. Make sure you only put juice around the outside and not in the center hole.
You have to twist the tank off to access the coil. Only changing the coil when the tank is empty, otherwise youll have a mess on your hands.
Portability
The portability of the Innokin Endura T20 is good. The size and shape make it comfortable to carry in your pocket, and the 1500mAh is enough to last a while without needing charged.
If you are replacing a smoking habit and this will be your only vape, you may end up having to charge this in the middle of the day.
Overall Experience
I dont think the Innokin Endura T20-S is a good purchase.
If you are a beginner, you may be tempted by the simplicity. But its actually not the easiest to use vape setup you can get, and it lacks the versatility other vapes offer without being any more difficult.
Besides the simplicity, the biggest attraction is probably the price. But even on this front, there are cheaper vapes out there and you shouldnt let a desire to save money prevent you from getting a vape youll actually enjoy.
If you want something extremely simple, check out the Kandypens Rubi and if you are looking for a mod style kit to start with we recommend the Vapouresso Revenger.
