About Yocan UNI Magnetic Ring
The Yocan UNI Magnetic Ring is the small adapter that’s required to connect a 510-threaded cartridge to a Yocan UNI box mod. It’s attached to the bottom of your cartridge via threading (screws on) and the magnetic ring itself is what snaps into the device, as the UNI doesn't fit a cartridge directly. It’s compatible with most 510 cartridges and works across the UNI lineup. Since they’re quite small, they’re easy to lose, so it’s a good idea to keep spares around.

How to Attach the Magnetic Ring
The ring threads onto your cartridge, not the device, which trips up some first-time UNI owners. Here is a step by step guide:
- Check the bottom of your 510 cartridge for its threaded connection.
- Screw the magnetic ring onto the cartridge clockwise until snug.
- Drop the cartridge and ring together into your UNI and let the magnets snap into place.
- To remove it later, pull the cartridge straight out of the device rather than twisting it.
Why You Want One on Every Cartridge
One ring is great if you only use one cartridge at a time, but if you’re rotating between different cartridges, unscrewing the ring off of one cart and putting it on another cart can get tedious. Having separate rings for different cartridges creates an easy pull-and-drop process. An added benefit is there’s less handling, and less wear over time on the threads.
Keep the Magnetic Faces Clean
The ring’s magnetic surfaces also serves as the electrical contact point between your battery and cartridge, so any smudges or residues on the ring’s magnetic face interrupts that flow and may weaken the device’s output or make it feel unresponsive. In case your UNI suddenly feels weaker, clean the ring's magnetic faces before inspecting the battery or cartridge. For a more thorough cleaning, remove the ring from the cartridge and clean the inside with a cotton swab, then let it fully dry before re-attaching it.
