Vivant Incendio Kit Review – Viva Vivant!
Vivant has become a reasonably familiar name in the industry, though not quite as big as some, theyre not complete newcomers at this point. In our Vivant Incendio kit review, we check out their latest offering, that comes in the standalone attachment or as a kit, which will be reviewed today. Is the Vivant Incendio Kit worth the price-tag or is it dwarfed by other units?
If youre a beginner to wax vapourizers, I suggest checking out the handy Wax Pen Buyers Guide to get a full rundown and help you through the process!
Vivant Incendio Kit Review
How it Works
The Vivant Incendio is a multi-piece device. The water filtration device hooks onto the tank/heating element, which is attached to the battery/power source.
The battery features 4 buttons, three for adjusting temperature and navigating the LED display, and one to turn it on & engage the glass heating element. Using it is rather easy once youre familiar with other wax units or e-juice box mods.
Loading your material is done by removing the glass top from the heating element, powering it is done by tapping the power button and taking it hit is done by engaging the heater is done by holding the power button.
Temperature Flexibility
Vivant thankfully includes precise temperature & wattage control on the battery of the device and suggests 15-25W in VW setting and between 600-850°F/315-454°C for e-Nail mode.
With 2021 already underway, its primitive for any new device over $100 to not feature independent temperature/wattage control so Im very glad Vivant doesnt leave it as an afterthought. If you’re interested in temperature flexibility, try checking out the Linx Blaze with its 4 heat settings.
Vapour Quality
Vapour quality is very impressive! The attached water filtration does a fantastic job of cooling your vapour and makes for nice and tasty hits.
Of course, depending on the heat setting you choose, a different flavour profile for your concentrate will appear. Lower temperature hits promise terpene-rich and flavourful hits, while higher temperatures promise very large clouds! Without using water filtration the vapour quality is still very good, however, you get more of a throat and lung hit due to the higher temperature.
The tank itself is constructed of all glass, ensuring completely clean vapour production. To be specific the heating element itself is entirely glass using an electrical trace inside a silica glass surface. No titanium rods, coils or wicks. Purely glass! That makes for extra-clean flavour with no metallic tinges to it. If you’re looking for a ceramic heating element them you can have a quick look at the Puffco Peak.
Manufacturing Quality
Nothing short of stellar! Each piece feels well-crafted and sturdy. Our Vivant Incendio e-Nail Vapourizer review looks more in-depth into the manufacturing quality. The battery feels solid and reliable, likewise with the glass parts. I wouldnt recommend dropping it, however, I would trust it to survive a few feet drop onto a hardwood floor.
Dont do that though! Beyond that, each piece is machined well, the tank threads on nicely to the rest of the device and I cannot spot a single fault in the manufacturing. To add to that, Vivant sets you up with a nice array of accessories such as:
- Very nice carrying case
- Indendio tank w/Firecore
- Glass water filter
- Carb cap w/dab tool
- Spare Firecore coil & o-ring sets
- Wax container
- User manual
Lovely quality on each and every one of these parts, the spare parts ensure youll get plenty of life out of your Vivant Incendio, allowing it to be rebuilt in case you accidentally slice an o-ring, or the heater burns out. If you want something that’s sleek and has stainless steel, the Linx Ares might be something that you could have a look at.
Battery Life
While doing our Vivant Incendio Kit Review, we’ve found that the battery life is nothing short of absolutely incredible! Seriously, the battery squeezes in a whopping 5,000MaH! You can practically charge it once and then just forget about it for weeks on end.
With a heat-up time of around 10 seconds, a session might last you a minute, tops. I would wager to say the battery would last between hundreds of sessions before needing to be charged, depending on your temperature settings.
1100 MaH batteries are pretty sufficient, and 5,000MaH is just completely unbelievable! Thank you, Vivant for doing the community a solid with this one. But if you prefer a more compact design and a smaller battery life, check out the Utillian 5 (V3).
Portability
Its very good for the user who wants to use the same device both at home or out and about. Leave the glass water filter on for at-home use, and when leaving home, just slide on the other glass top.
It fits well into medium-large pockets and takes up minimal space in a bag. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with its own carrying case like the Linx Hypnos Zero. Practically the same size as a conventional box-mod, and to top it off, the battery works as a box mod since its 510-threaded, letting you throw on your favourite e-juice tank whenever!
While doing the Vivant Icendio review, we also noticed that Vivant nailed the design choices of this unit and makes portability a breeze. When the glass water filter is attached, it doesnt feel like itll fall over at a small gust of wind, however, Id still be careful about leaving it on a desk or table, especially around friends or pets.
Ease of Use
To anyone familiar with any e-juice rig or a wax pen, its rather straightforward. Load your material, throw on the glass top of choice, turn on the device with the top power button, change your wattage/temperature through the bottom buttons and voila youre ready to go!
The only place I would dock a mark is for cleaning and maintenance. The atomizers disassemble well and cleaning the all-glass heating element is a breeze, however, the glass water filter is a bit more involved and a bit of a pain to clean. Nothing outrageous though and overall still pretty simple. If you want something with low maintenance, Utillian 2 Wax Pen should be an amazing fit.
Discreetness
With the standard Vivant Incendio glass top attached, it looks practically identical to any other box mod. Aside from scent in mind, prying eyes wont think twice when looking at you sipping from the box.
Obviously, its not the best idea to use the glass water filter when walking around or out in public, so thats definitely best left at home.
The unit doesnt fit completely hidden in the palm, and if that is important Id instead recommend a wax pen such as the Kandypens Gravity Beyond that, the Vivant Incendio is good for discreetness although nothing wildly special.
Overall Experience
The Vivant Incendio Kit offers a familiar form factor, solid water-filtration, flexibility, astonishing battery life and of course great vapour quality! The accessories included are a bonus and the Vivant Incendio is absolutely a device perfect for beginners and advanced enthusiasts.
If you are just looking for a simple pen setup than we suggest checking out the Yocan Evolve Plus.
And if you are interested in an e-rig that also has a herb attachment than take a look at the Focusvape Tourist.
