With todays wide array of affordable 510-threaded batteries available for cartridges, Tronian has introduced a contender for the budget segment in the form of the Tronian Pitron. The Pitron has been around for a while, but the people at Tronian updated the 510-threaded battery recently.
In this review, we will review all the new updates and compare the Pitron to other popular contenders in the Budget 510 Thread battery segment. You can quickly glance over the current ranking on our 510 Thread Battery Ranking List.
Whether you are an experienced user or new to vaporizing, the Tronian Pitron might be what you’re looking for, so let’s get into it!
How It Works

Using the Tronian Pitron V2 could not be easier, as always, for your first session; we advise charging the battery fully before using it. To get the unit up and running, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Attach your 510 Thread Cartridge by screwing it onto the heating chamber.
- Step 2: Draw from the cartridge Mouthpiece.
- Step 3: Stop inhaling once you are satisfied with the draw. The Pitron V2 will automatically stop heating the chamber.
The Tronian Pitron V2 also works with Solid Wax when using an accessory such as the Litl Heat. The Process remains the same, just instead of screwing in a cartridge, you screw in the Wax Atomizer and place wax into the chamber. Then, simply inhale from the mouthpiece that comes with the Wax Chamber.
Manufacturing Quality

The Tronian Pitron has always been a straightforward 510 thread battery designed for simple operation. Its form factor is no different. This 510 Thread battery is the exact picture I think of when hearing the term Vape Pen because it actually resembles a Pen.
The updated version also includes some battery optimizations and even a USB-C port. The exterior is made of stainless steel and now has a rubberized finish that feels amazing and provides a great grip. It also comes in some cool colour waves if you want that extra stylish option.
The Pitron V2 does not have any buttons, which also keeps it true to its simple operation. The LED is located at the very bottom of the unit, right around the new USB-C Port. This LED helps indicate when the unit is heating and the battery levels during charging.
Overall, for its price, the Pitron is a very well-built 510-thread battery. You can really see Tronians dedication to revamping their low-cost units and making them even better for the average user.
Temperature Flexibility

The Tronian Pitron V2 does not offer variable voltages; however, it is properly calibrated to handle a wide range of concentrate viscosities. The fixed voltage is set at 3.5 Volts, which is closer to high vapor production and less focused on pure flavor.
While this unit might not be the best choice for those who want to change their voltage settings, the Pitrons operation is arguably as simple as it gets, which is great for beginners. If you are dead set on getting a 510 thread battery with variability, the Utillian 50 has 4 different voltages and also uses draw activation paired with preheating for the perfect draw.
With all of this said, users of the Tronian Pitron do actually have a way of controlling their sessions. The Heating chamber will only be activated during your draw, so if you want smaller hits, inhale slower and for less time. If you want to get bigger hits, simply inhale for longer.
Ease of Use

As stated previously, the Pitron is definitely a top contender for the simplest 510 thread battery. There is no learning curve to use this device. Attach your preferred 510-compatible cartridge, make sure the battery is properly charged, and vape away on the mouthpiece. Its that simple.
It’s important to know that the Pitron works best with special cartridges called TronPods, made by Tronian. While the 510 battery can work with different oil carts thanks to its simple screw-on mechanism, TronPods are designed specifically for Tronian devices.
Overall, the Tronian Pitron V2 is as easy to use as ever, and we cannot forget that charging is easier thanks to the new USB-C. It’s a good choice for beginners since they don’t need to worry about adjusting voltage or temperature. The device is truly a plug-and-play type.
Maintaining and cleaning the Pitron is simple. It doesn’t require a lot of attention, which is common among Wax Pens or Dry herb Vaporizers. Occasional cleaning with wipes from the Zeus Purify kit is enough to keep it in good condition.
Portability & Discreetness

Its very convenient and very portable, another situation where the Tronian Pitron has a huge advantage over other vaping batteries.
Units like the Zeus Ion offer a different portable form factor, but Tronian chose to go with the true pen-style form factor. It’s slim, not super lengthy, and can fit in most pockets or bags without a hassle.
The Tronian Pitrons 320 mAh battery is not the biggest I’ve seen, but it is adequate, given that this is not a high-wattage device. This battery should be able to last you half a day if you vape it semi-frequently or more if you are the type to only have quick vape breaks throughout the day.
It now includes a USB-C charging cable, which is great for portability since you no longer need to take the Micro USB cable with you. At this point in time, USB-C has become the norm, so it’s much more likely to find one to charge your Pitron. The battery will charge faster, which means it will be ready for action sooner.
The Pitron is also great when it comes to discreetness. This 510 thread Battery is easy to hide because it’s small and cylinder-shaped. Just be careful not to show the LED light at the bottom when you use it.
Battery Life

The Pitron V2 comes with a 320 mAh battery, which is definitely not the biggest, but that doesn’t mean that it’s bad. The battery has been optimized to work for longer on the same amount of capacity. The Pitron V2s battery is slightly larger in diameter than the Original Pitron, although its not noticeable since the overall size has stayed relatively the same.
Possibly the biggest feature that Tronian added to this vape is the new USB-C port. Of course, this means that the battery can be charged quicker. Due to the straightforward nature of this device, battery consumption is kept to a low. That is because changing temperatures, especially going up in voltage, will consume more energy. Since the Pitron does not offer variable voltages, the power output remains stable throughout your sessions.
Overall, I think the Pitron’s battery has changed more than meets the eye. At first glance, it seems not to have changed much, but the upgrades are noticeable throughout usage. If you’ve used the original version of the Pitron, I’m sure you’ll love the new version.
Overall Experience

If you are looking for a straightforward, affordable vape for your 510-compatible oil cartridges then yes, this device is one of the Best Vape Pens available and is worth every cent of your hard-earned cash.
And this 510 Thread Battery doesnt even ask for much. With its exceptional portability and classic design, the Tronian Pitron earns its spot in my recommendation list for budget-friendly batteries.
Just keep in mind who this device is best suited for: Since it doesn’t feature temperature voltages, the Pitron will be well received by users who prefer a more plug-and-play approach. If that sounds like you, then this device deserves a spot in your pocket.
If you want a device that will protect your cartridge a bit more but at the cost of universal compatibility for cartridge diameter, maybe consider the Tronian Nutron which also got revamped recently.
