Inhalater Vaporizer Review

Updated: April 10, 2024
The Inhalater is a Canadian unit with some innovations in materials. It looks pretty neat, but it’s got some major issues to deal with. It’s competing with premium portable vapourizers like the Arizer Solo and the DaVinci, but it works at a very basic level in comparison. Here’s a rundown of the Inhalater and what we thought of it.

Review: Inhalater Vapourizer

Inhalater Vaporizer Review
How It Works

How It Works

The Inhalater is pretty simple to use. You just put your botanical in the plastic capsule, insert the capsule carefully into the heating chamber, and then adjust the temperature with the dial at the bottom. An LED will flash until it’s heated up to the full temperature, which should take about two minutes. Then you take draws through the mouthpiece. It has an automatic shutoff which engages after six minutes of reaching the set temperature.
Temperature Flexibility

Temperature Flexibility

The temperature can be adjusted between 140°C and 210°C. The dial at the bottom goes from 1 to 10, so you have a wide range of possibilities. However, you can’t precisely adjust it by degrees. It can take between one and two minutes to heat up, but the unit will need to reheat between draws. Also, the dial is rather loose, and can sometimes slip between temperatures or even turn itself on.
Vapor Quality

Vapour Quality

The manufacturer claims the Inhalater uses convection heating, which would make for pretty good vapour quality. However, the polymide used for the mouthpieces, while heat resistant, is not good for the vapour. It smells and tastes like burnt plastic. They’re also hard to clean, so vapour quality will go down over time. The polymide is supposed to be heat resistant and radiation resistant, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to inhale it.
Manufacturing Quality

Manufacturing Quality

The metal casing on this vape looks pretty good, but the internal components are all made of heat resistant polymide. Not only does this affect your vapour quality, it’s also breakable. The mouthpiece can easily detach from the capsule if you insert it incorrectly, and under any amount of strain it will chip or crack. The joint between the two different materials used also makes them harder to clean. The temperature dial at the bottom is also a bit too loose, and can turn on its own or turn itself on. That’s a minor problem, but the plastic in the capsules is a major issue that makes the vapour smell awful and looks cheap. The unit also tries to look like it’s made of metal, but when you take a closer look at the body, the shine that you thought was metal is just a sticker and the unit is also made completely of plastic which doesn’t look or feel high quality.
Battery Life

Battery Life

The manufacturer says that the battery life of the unit is somewhere between 12 and 20 cycles. Each cycle is about 6 minutes, so their estimates put the unit’s battery life somewhere between 72 minutes and 120 minutes we found that it lasted about an hour and a half, so their guess was pretty accurate. It’s not the worst battery life we’ve ever seen and was actually pretty impressive all things considered.
Portability

Portability

The Inhalater is more than six inches long and an inch across, so it isn’t pocket sized, but it will fit well in a bag. It’s easy to preload because of the separate cap covering the mouthpiece, except that then you have to worry that your botanical’s been sitting next to plastic for hours. The battery will last for about six sessions, but there’s no indication that it’s low except that it will then take longer to heat up. It’s mostly self-contained, so it’s designed pretty well for portability.
Ease Of Use

Ease of Use

Using the Inhalater is really easy. All you need to do is load the little capsule, Put it into the heating chamber, turn the dial to your chosen heat setting and then enjoy once it’s reached the temperature. The problem comes in when you have to clean it. Botanical often gets stuck in the flaps of the capsule and clearing it completely is not easy in the slightest. In the end the polymide causes more problems than it really solves.
Discreetness

Discreetness

This vapourizer is a bit too big to cover easily with your hand, but it won’t draw too much attention to itself with a weird appearance. It is very long compared to most portables, though. It doesn’t look too much like a vapourizer, but it doesn’t look like much else either.
Overall Experience

Overall Experience

The manufacturing quality and materials used in the Inhalater really affect its performance. I just don’t trust the plastic they’re using. They say that it’s a high tech product, but it doesn’t seem even food grade in quality, let alone medical grade. It also seems like they haven’t fully thought through the rest of the design. We love when we can recommend Canadian vapes, but in this case we really can’t. We hope they can fix these issues in later products.

Compatible with ZEUS Iceborn
This vapourizer is compatible with the ZEUS Iceborn, a revolutionary new vapour cooling system engineered by Canadian vape manufacturer ZEUSArsenal. The Iceborn is designed to produce cooler draws and bigger clouds when connected to your vapourizer. The vapour produced is ultra smooth and crisp and because of ice cooling, instead of water filtration, there is no loss of efficiency. The ZEUS Iceborn adds an additional 2 points to the vapour quality score of this vapourizer and is a highly recommended vapourizer accessory.
