In this post well be going through the differences in the G-Tanks that you can grab with your G-Pen. The G-Pen is a very popular portable vaporizer thats designed specifically to vaporize your oils & concentrates. It does a great job of handling these, but you cant use any dried ground botanicals.
G Pen Tanks
There are three tanks to select from: the Original G-Tank, the Glass G-Tank, and the Essential Oils G-Tank. Each of them has their own strengths and ideal uses.
Original G Tank
The Original G Tank is great for housing your very viscous oils. You simply pour your oil into the tank and allow the wicks inside to absorb it. As the wicks absorb the oil, they draw it up towards the heating element at the top of the tank. The Original G-Tanks encasement is made of stainless steel, and the tank itself is acrylic. The acrylic tank is more durable than a glass tank, but be careful not to scrape your acrylic tank with your G-Tool when youre removing the plastic cap from the tank.
Glass G Tank
The Glass G-Tank has the same wick system as the Original G-Tank, so you can certainly vaporize your very viscous oils with it. However, its a bit more ideal for the use of waxes. Simply apply your wax to the heating element and press the button to start the G-Pen. The majority of your wax will be instantly vaporized, but an amount of it will melt. The melted wax will be absorbed by the wicks, holding onto it for further use. This tank is very similar to the Original G-Tank, however the glass is certainly more breakable than acrylic.
Essential Oil G Tank
The Essential Oils G-Tank is excellent for vaporizing your solid concentrates. It sports a heating chamber larger than in the Original or Glass G-Tanks, and doesnt have a wick system. You simply apply your hard concentrates onto the heating element and vaporize. The Essential Oils G-Tank comes with an extra glass encasement, just in case your first one breaks. This is the only tank thats specifically designed for hard concentrates. You could use hard concentrates in the other two tanks by applying them to your elements, however its not recommended as it will drastically shorten the life of your Original or Glass G-Tanks.
Each G-Tank specializes in a different area between oils, waxes, and concentrates. Using this information you should be able to select the right tank for your needs and have the best vaporizing experience with your G-Pen.
