Bo + versus Juul
Manufacturing QualityAs the years have gone by, the Juul has always stayed true to its winning formula. It is after all one of the best selling devices on the market to date, so why bother fixing something that isn’t broken. It’s slim and simplistic aluminum alloy chassis make it a great stealth vape, perfect for the everyday vaper who would rather vape with discretion. The rock solid construction of the Juul has always been one of its strengths and is one of the reasons newcomers flock to it when they’re on the lookout for an ultra-compact device. But the Bo Plus is no laggard. Being a relative newcomer in the industry, it knows what it’s up against and does its best to better the Juul. Featuring a rigid body constructed out of a combination of aluminum alloy and plastic, the device feels wonderfully solid when held in hand and gives you a strong impression that it can definitely withstand the test of time. The design of the Juul hasn’t evolved much, especially where the pod system is concerned. While it uses pods that can be technically considered plug and play, the pods definitely take a bit of force when it comes to installation or removal. The Bo+, on the other hand, uses a fully magnetic assembly to attach its pods, making swapping out pods a quick, easy, and seamless experience. The Bo+ also gets plus points thanks to its slightly protruding mouthpiece which is a bit narrower than what the Juul uses. The slightly contoured and narrower shape keeps things comfortable for your lips when vaping for extended vaping But the tour de force of the Bo+ comes in the form of its non-proprietary USB type C port for charging the device. Whereas the Juul uses a magnetic proprietary charger that needs to be repurchased from Juul themselves once lost or broken, the Bo+ can be charged with any USB type C cable you happen to have on hand just in case you lose the one that comes with the kit. |

Ease of UseBoth devices are incredibly easy and straightforward to set up. Charge them up with the included charger and the indicator light will let you know when the battery has reached its full capacity. Plug in your pod of choice and you should be all set up to start vaping.
Both the Juul and Bo+ use an air activated sensor which means there are no buttons present on either of the devices to worry about. Simply take a puff and they should immediately start firing. The Juul pods can be a bit finicky when it comes to securely attach the pod to the base device so the Bo+ gets a small win here thanks to its easy to attach/detach magnetic assembly on their pods.

PortabilityYou really can’t go wrong with either the Juul or Bo Plus when it comes to sheer portability. Both are small enough to fit in your pants or shirt pocket, making them extremely convenient to carry, especially for vapers on the go. The main difference lies with their respective batteries.
The Bo+ uses an 800mAh battery while the Juul has a 200 mAh. That’s a difference of almost 400% in terms of battery life. While this doesn’t necessarily mean that the battery of the Bo Plus lasts 4 times longer since it produces a much stronger vapor, it’s still going to outlast the Juul and even the original Bo One when it comes to long-term use, something that’s worth bearing in mind before making your purchase.
