Recently we have been asked to review the Deluxe Daddy, a box style vaporizer made by the manufacturer Vapor Daddy. Many people are drawn to this unit due to its low-mid price point and simple whip-style vaporizing abilities. So let\u2019s see how this Deluxe Daddy measures up!<\/div>\n

The Deluxe Daddy is fairly simple to figure out, even if you are new to vaping and decide to not read the manual. It has a wall plug which directly powers the unit, a red flip switch to turn the unit on and a silver knob for temperature adjustments. The unit is compatible with a whip, included with purchase. So after loading the botanicals in the two piece heating chamber, screwed together, the chamber can be mounted on the stick-like heating element. After turning the unit on and adjusting the temperature to your liking, your botanicals will be heated via conduction from the heating element and vapor can be drawn out by taking draws from the mouthpiece end of the whip.<\/div>\n

\"Manufacturing<\/a><\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

Although Vapor Daddy is based out of British Columbia, Canada, they manufacturer their units in China which isn\u2019t inherently bad. However, this unit should be in a lower price range due to its lower quality. The unit itself is decently durable although the plastic components are of cheap quality, contributing to the lingering plastic taste and poor vapor quality. Unfortunately the actual heating element stick becomes quite wobbly after just several uses, rendering the user to wonder if the vaporizer will even make it though the session without falling off. For the price category the unit is set in, it really doesn\u2019t live up to any expectations to comparably priced units and you are much better off avoiding cheaply made units at costs above $130 when possible. You can also tell its cheap quality by the packaging and poorly adhered \u201cdeluxe daddy\u201d sign on the side of the unit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n
<\/div>\n
As previously mentioned temperature settings under level 7 do not provide much, if any, vapor. Unfortunately, on the other hand, temperature settings 8, 9 and 10 all allowed combustion of the botanicals and therefore created smoke. This was slightly unexpected and thoroughly disappointing, considering a vaporizer is designed to avoid combustion for the convenience and cost saving benefits. Due to the fact the heating chamber screws together it is inconvenient to stir the botanicals mid-session to avoid un-even vaporization and increases the possibility for combustion if the heat source is applied to the same area too directly. The vapor has a distinct plastic taste that only goes away after the tube has been thoroughly coated with residue after many uses. All in all, the vapor quality is not great and with combustion occurring at several temperature settings, this unit is definitely not ideal. For half the cost of this vaporizer you can get the E.Z Vape Digi to provide better vapor quality and in general a better experience.<\/div>\n

The Deluxe Daddy is a very simple to use unit. However it does takes a good few minutes for the unit to reach the initial temperature setting in a mid range. This unit is whip style only and has a decent sized heating chamber which can be sufficient for up to 3 people. Not optimal for large parties but for small gatherings or a small roommate situation this unit has the capacity to vaporize 1-3 people easily. It\u2019s an easy to set up vaporizer with few options.<\/div>\n

The Deluxe Daddy has a dial for adjusting your temperature at 10 different levels. This is all fine and dandy at face value however upon testing, vapor was almost impossible to achieve under level 7, and even at that level it was very wispy. The fact there is an unknown temperature associated with each numerical setting doesn\u2019t allow the consumer to efficiently choose their vapor quality based on temperature preference<\/a> and therefore the user must randomly experiment. Due to the wispy vapor under level 7 the user must choose between the top 3 settings in a small range of options achieving very thick but harsh vapor at level 10.<\/div>\n

Overall this unit was fairly disappointing especially for the price range. If the Deluxe Daddy draws you in because of its price and simple whip style functioning we recommend you take a look at the Arizer V-Tower<\/a>. For around the same price you will receive excellent vapor quality ensured by Canadian manufacturing and high quality components that blow the Daddy out of the water. Heed our warning and avoid the daddy so you won\u2019t inhale plastic-tasting smoke. However we regret to inform our connoisseurs that for the money this unit is nothing more than a snazzed up easy vape and performs at a sub-standard level.<\/div>\n
