How it Works<\/b><\/h2>\n

The packaging of XMax V3 Pro isn\u2019t anything fancy. Out of the box, you get the bare essentials: a standard USB-C charging cable, a single wax cup for vaporizing concentrate, a loading tool, and some swabs for cleaning the chamber. The unit itself can be operated using its 3 buttons, one of them being the main and two arrows that point up and down, respectively.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It comes with 2 different modes that function slightly differently. A session mode and an on-demand mode. But we will go into more detail in the ease of use section.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, how Do I get the XMax V3 Pro to work?<\/span><\/p>\n

It is as simple as following these 4 steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Fill the chamber with up to 0.15 grams of dry herb. Remember not to pack it too tight to keep the airflow smooth.
\nStep 2:<\/strong> Hit the power button 3 times to turn on your device.
\nStep 3:<\/strong> Press the up and down buttons to set the temperature(Shown on digital display)
\nStep 4:<\/strong> Wait 25 seconds for the current temperature to reach the set temperature and start inhaling.<\/p>\n

The Xmax V3 Pro will start up in session mode, but if you want a more direct approach, you can press the up and down buttons at the same time to switch to on-demand mode. This mode, unlike the session mode, does not automatically heat up. To heat up the chamber during this mode, you need to press and hold the power button, and once you stop pressing, the chamber will stop heating.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"XmaxTemperature Flexibility<\/b><\/h2>\n

I’ve got to say, the XMax V3 Pro gives you control over your temperature like a pro. You can tweak it anywhere from <\/span>100\u00b0 C to 220\u00b0 C<\/b>. That’s a big deal because it means you can find your sweet spot for the perfect hit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, it heats up fast, like in around 25 seconds. But here’s the thing\u2014the temperature can be a bit all over the place. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s something to keep in mind. You might see one number on the screen and feel another in the vape. As with most convection units, it takes more time to heat the herb since the heating element doesn’t come in direct contact with it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In general terms, I start at 180\u00b0C (356\u00b0F), wait a bit after it heats up, take a few small hits, and then go for that first big hit. It’s smooth sailing from there. I bump up the heat as I go, ending at 220\u00b0C (428\u00b0F). On that note, I would have liked to see a slightly larger max temperature so I could really end the session off by extracting my herb thoroughly. Something like the <\/span>Milatron<\/span><\/a> which goes up to 240\u00b0C(464\u00b0F), or even a boost mode like you see on the <\/span>Utillian 723<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Some users have experimented with removing the air filter cover from the glass mouthpiece for a more direct draw. I’ve tried this, but it causes the glass to heat up too quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n

So, yeah, the XMax V3 Pro might not look fancy, but it’s got the chops where it counts. It’s all about finding that perfect vape temperature, and this little gadget lets you do just that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/b><\/h2>\n

I’ll be straight with you: the XMax V3 Pro’s vapor quality is a mixed bag. I’ve had sessions where the flavor was on point, but the vapor? Just not enough of it. And sometimes, if I really heat the unit up, I get more vapor, but it will lower the quality of its taste. With that said, considering it’s a budget vape, it’s a small price to pay. Pun intended.<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing I like about the XMax V3 Pro is its compatibility with dry herbs and concentrates. I also like the option to flip between session and on-demand modes, which is pretty rare for a convection vape. Sure, you can’t tweak the session times to the exact minute, but toggling between 4 and 6 minutes is a decent middle ground, especially for the price.<\/span><\/p>\n

The flavor from the XMax V3 Pro is solid, especially for its price range. The longer you pull, the bigger the hit. However, the vapor path is short and the convection-only heater requires extra time to get significant clouds. Modern units like the Utillian 850<\/a> approach the matter differently through a dual-core heating system. It produces flavorful vapor in much higher quantities because the conduction side provides immediate density while the convection side handles flavor through heated airflow. While the 850 uses this hardware-level boost to maintain vapor volume, the XMax V3 Pro remains a more traditional budget convection unit, which is likely why its maximum temperature stays lower to prevent the short path from becoming uncomfortable<\/span>.\u00a0 And while the draw resistance is average, meaning it’s not too tough to pull from, it’s not exactly breezy either.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The price of this unit is super important to keep in mind. It really doesn’t compare in terms of quality to higher-end units like the <\/span>Utillian 723<\/span><\/a>, but it’s still very decent. It’s similar to something like the <\/span>Utillian 421<\/span><\/a>, which is also a convection unit. \"Dry<\/b><\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/b><\/h2>\n

When it comes to the build quality of XMax V3 Pro, it looks OK to me. Nothing about the XMax V3 Pro screams \u201cpremium\u201d which is expected. However, I felt comfortable gripping the device, which is probably because of its <\/span>aluminum alloy chassis<\/b>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The magnetic mouthpiece contains a stainless steel and ceramic vapor path that helps cool the vapor. It does a decent job, but keep in mind that if you go for a 6-minute session, you may feel your vapor getting slightly on the hotter side.<\/span><\/p>\n

But that doesn\u2019t stop me from using V3 Pro. It comes with a decent display, which I would say helped me get the essential information like temperature, session timer, and battery status. Again, I want to compare this unit to the <\/span>Utillian 421<\/span><\/a> because of its budget convection nature and now its digital display which is quite similar. It does have a glass mouthpiece, though, which might make the vapor slightly smoother, but it has 6 temperature settings instead of letting you choose from a range.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Battery<\/b><\/p>\n

Battery Life<\/b><\/h2>\n

The XMax V3 Pro has a removable battery that you can replace when needed. The battery has a capacity of about 2600 mAh. It also comes with a USB-C charger that charges faster than before. It takes a little more than 3 hours to fully charge, but two features help with this issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

First, the device has passthrough charging, which means you can use it while it’s plugged in. Second, you can buy an extra battery and have it charged and ready to use. Since you can replace the batteries whenever you want, you can have as many as you need.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, how long the battery lasts depends on how you use the device. On average, it gives you around 45-60 minutes of continuous use. You can’t use the device for this long in one go, though. Overall, the battery life is one of the device’s drawbacks, but XMax included features to make it easier to manage, which is really good.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Xmax<\/b><\/p>\n

Portability<\/b><\/h2>\n

When I first got my hands on the XMax V3 Pro, its size was a pleasant surprise. I’m all about that grab-and-go life, and this vape fits the bill. It’s not the smallest out there but its form factor is compact enough to fit comfortably in a bag. As far as pocket use, its possible but not really recommended, unless you keep it in your pocket without anything else.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For those who want to take things to another level, we heavily recommend buying a spare 18650 battery or two and a separate 2-bay charger. This greatly extends the overall session time of the XMax V3 Pro as it\u2019s quick and simple to change 18650 cells on the fly. Just make sure to pick up something quality, such as a Sony, Samsung, or LG battery cell (avoid the fakes!). Swapping them is easy and keeps your vape ready for action.<\/span><\/p>\n

But here’s a heads-up \u2013 the mouthpiece might bail on you if you’re moving around a lot. It’s got magnets, but they’re not super strong. So if you’re biking or doing something active, it could pop off. Just something to keep in mind.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ease of Use<\/b><\/h2>\n

3 quick presses on the power button are all that\u2019s required to turn the XMax V3 Pro on and off. Coupling that with the 2 dedicated + and \u2013 buttons makes this vaporizer one of the more straightforward options on the market. The OLED screen relays information clearly enough, so even absolute beginners won\u2019t have much trouble figuring out the ins and outs of the XMax V3 Pro.<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing we found less appealing about the XMax V3 Pro is its extremely small chamber size, which holds a sad 0.15 grams of herb. Given the device\u2019s small size and quick temperature ramp-up, it\u2019s clear that it had to compromise its overall design.<\/span><\/p>\n

In terms of versatility, I really like the fact that this dry herb vaporizer comes with 2 modes. But what really puts it at another level in terms of usefulness is the fact that it comes with a Wax Cup. Similar to how the <\/span>Utillian 621<\/span> does. These types of units are really unique and are powerful enough to heat up your concentrates using Convection heating, which is special considering the lower price. The V3 Pro won’t provide the same quality as the 621, but it is more inexpensive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A fully loaded chamber does manage to provide enough vapor for a single session, but the XMax V3 Pro is far from the best option for those looking for extended sessions or sharing with friends, as we expect reloading the thing frequently will turn out to be a chore in the long run.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discreetness<\/b><\/h2>\n

The practical shape and styling of the XMax V3 Pro make it ideal for those looking to fly under the radar when using this device in public. The black and satin finish of the aluminum exterior doesn’t draw attention to itself at all. The vapor output is minimal as well so you won\u2019t be turning heads with the amount of clouds generated by the XMax V3 Pro.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discreetness is Definity an important feature many connoisseurs look for when purchasing a vaporizer; keep in mind that, as opposed to smoking, all vaporizers produce less odor overall<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Overall Experience<\/b><\/h2>\n

The XMax V3 Pro <\/span>portable vaporizer<\/span><\/a> has some decent features, like its OLED screen, replaceable battery, and USB-C charging port. While impressive on paper, we feel the XMax V3 Pro cannot take advantage of full temperature control, given its janky power delivery.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It has some cool features that I like, but they don’t work well enough for me to actually use them, like the Wax Cup or the pass-through charging. They can be helpful, but they’re not as useful as I had hoped if you have multiple units. If you’re willing to spend a bit more and want a convection unit that offers a bit more, I suggest the <\/span>Utillian 621<\/span>. It’s better than the <\/span>U421<\/span><\/a> and also comes with a Wax Canister that works smoothly.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for budget options, the XMax V3 Pro is decent but still has a long way to go before we can call it one of the best. The chamber size only makes it suitable for shorter sessions. Additionally, the finicky battery door and mouthpiece make the overall experience with dry herbs on the lower end less enjoyable.
