Boundless CFC 2.0 Review<\/span><\/h2>\n

How it Works<\/h3>\n

You can easily learn how to use Boundless CFC 2.0. After removing the mouthpiece and loading the ceramic chamber up with ground herb and tamping it down, you\u2019ll then want to power the unit on. By clicking the large button 5 times, the device will come to life and begin heating up automatically. By using the two smaller buttons, you can adjust the temperature to whatever you like, referring to the OLED display to view your current heat setting.<\/p>\n

Once it reaches your desired setting within roughly 20-30 seconds, you\u2019re ready to go, however since it\u2019s primarily a conduction device, it\u2019s best to let the herbs soak in a little more heat before taking a hit. Once the session ends it\u2019ll go into standby mode, where you can then go right back into another session, or turn it off entirely.<\/p>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

Just like the Boundless CFV<\/a>, the CFC 2.0 offers a wide range between 140-446\u00b0F or 60-230\u00b0C, so you\u2019ll definitely be able to dial in your ideal temperature without any hassle. Due to the wide range too, other herbs such as chamomile or peppermint can also be vaporized, if you\u2019re interested in that!<\/p>\n

The highest setting is quite good for dealing with concentrates as well; however, there is no concentrates pad included in the box. Instead, you\u2019ll need to \u2018sandwich\u2019 your wax or resin in between layers of bud. However, if you prefer more temperature flexibility then the Zeus Arc GT<\/a> can be a good choice especially because of its 3 different temperature cycles.<\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

The Boundless CFC 2.0 definitely improves on the originals\u2019 design in a variety of ways. The flavor is notably better, the draw resistance is significantly reduced and the larger chamber gives heavier hits. The cloud production is average at best, however, it\u2019s a budget device, and it punches well in its own weight class in this respect.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s not very efficient with the herb that you do use, and you\u2019ll find yourself using more herb in the long run compared to devices with convection or hybrid heating styles like the Utillian 421<\/a>. On another note, the included WPA does work quite well and helps improve the performance significantly when ran through the water. <\/div><\/div><\/span>

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

For an entry-level, sub-$100 device, it\u2019s built reasonably well. With the body and mouthpiece being made mostly of plastic, unlike the glass mouthpiece in Flowermate Slick<\/a>, it does feel cheaper compared to other units. Even though it\u2019s quite sturdy, I\u2019d trust it to survive a fall or two. Ergonomically, it feels quite nice in the hands and it\u2019s not unattractive by any means.<\/p>\n

You get quite a bit of kit as well, with Boundless including the unit itself, a cleaning brush, WPA, charger, and manual. Boundless has a reasonably good reputation too, so if something does go wrong, you\u2019ll be covered.<\/p>\n

\"BoundlessBattery Life<\/h3>\n

You can expect between 5-7 sessions on a single charge, depending on the heat setting you choose and your usage habits. Unfortunately, the battery is not removable, so let\u2019s hope Boundless used a quality battery in this little guy.<\/p>\n

To top up from full takes around 3 hours, which is below average for sure, though the reasonably good battery life makes up for that fact. There is pass-through charging as well, which is a nice bonus for sure!\u00a0 If you are someone who has long sessions and needs something with more power, then the Arizer Solo 2<\/a> can be a good choice especially because of its 3 hours of battery life.<\/div><\/div><\/span>

\"Boundless<\/h3>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

Perfectly pocket-able, the goal Boundless set out to achieve has been fulfilled well! Able to slide into any pocket well and hiding away well in the hand, the Boundless CFC 2.0 vaporizer is a great little travel companion.<\/p>\n

Sure, it\u2019s not as petite as the Pulsar APX 2<\/a>\u00a0but you likely won\u2019t have any problems with portability with it regardless.<\/div><\/div>

\"Boundless<\/p>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

A terrific beginner’s choice, the Boundless CFC 2.0 is both straightforward and easy to use. The large bowl also makes is suitable for small groups, and the lack of any draw technique or special steps leaves no coaching required if handing it off to a friend or stranger. If you prefer more simplicity, then be sure to take a look at the LITL<\/a> One especially because its easy to use and clean.<\/p>\n

Cleaning is also quite simple, as a simple cotton swab soaked in isopropyl alcohol will make quick work of any buildup or residue. Be careful of prolonged contact with iso against the plastic components, as they might blemish or corrode easily. <\/div><\/div>

\"Boundless<\/h3>\n

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

Due to the small size, it hides away well in your pockets and hands. When taking a hit, the majority of people might dismiss it as a standard e-juice vaporizer and won\u2019t think about looking twice. However, if you prefer to travel, enjoy the Flowermate V5 Nano<\/a> for its discreetness especially because it can look like a regular e-cig.<\/p>\n

It still does emit a strong odor, however, so keep that in mind if discretion is important.\u00a0<\/div><\/div>

\n

\"BoundlessOverall Experience<\/h3>\n

While I enjoy the Boundless CFC 2.0, I can\u2019t help but feel it could\u2019ve been a little \u2018more\u2019 than it is. It\u2019s larger than the Pulsar APX<\/a> with similar performance and weaker build quality, though it does come with a WPA already! Personally, I\u2019d save up just a little bit more and opt for something like the Zeus Smite Plus<\/a> which will give you a much better battery life and comes with a glass mouthpiece.<\/p>\n

The CFC 2.0 is certainly not a bad device by any means, and will definitely do the trick for a beginner, however, if you\u2019re an experienced user or looking for a little more \u2018oomph\u2019, I\u2019d look elsewhere. It\u2019s definitely an improvement over the original, with that being said!<\/p>\n

If you absolutely need something on a budget I’d recommend taking a look at the cheaper\u00a0Utillian 420.<\/p>\n
