With their name being well established through products like the <\/span>Dr. Dabber Boost<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>Dr Dabber Stella<\/b><\/a>, <\/span>\u00a0and the<\/b> Utillian 2 Wax Pen<\/b><\/a>, plenty of eyes are keen on seeing what technology has been packed into the Dr. Dabber Switch. Boasting induction heating, a massive battery life, and a futuristic design, the Switch looks to be an excellent unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

How it Works<\/h3>\n

There are two different ways to use the Dr. Dabber Switch \u2013 in concentrates or dry herb mode. There\u2019s not much difference in the operation between the two, but we\u2019ll run through it anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n

After switching it into oil mode, you can adjust the temperature with the appropriate buttons. Before going any further, make sure you fill up the glass bubbler and securely attach it to the top.<\/span><\/p>\n

After dropping the little cup in and setting the temperature, you\u2019re ready to go. Use the included Dr Dabber Switch Carb Cap\/dab tool to drop your concentrates into the cup, and away you go! Seal the top with the lid and inhale for some good results.<\/span><\/p>\n

In dry herb mode, it\u2019s all a very similar process<\/b>. However, it\u2019s easy to pre-load the cup with herb before dropping it into the heating area. You can also pack it similarly to a conduction vaporizer \u2013 with the herb finely ground and tamped down a decent amount.<\/span><\/p>\n

After that, adjust your temperature, let it heat up, and inhale!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Dr.Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

When it comes to the temperature flexibility of the Dr. Dabber Switch, you can choose from a huge range. From as low as <\/span>300\u00b0F\/149\u00b0C<\/b>, all the way up to <\/span>800\u00b0F\/427\u00b0C,<\/b> you have plenty of room to dial in your perfect temperature setting. While you don\u2019t get precise temperature control down to the degree, the <\/span>25 presets<\/b> are certainly more than enough to find the ideal setting, and it doesn\u2019t leave me bothered at all.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though you don\u2019t have a digital display or sorts like the <\/span>Source Orb 4 Premium Kit<\/b><\/a>, the LEDs on the front do a fine job at letting you know which setting you\u2019re at. Over time, you\u2019ll become familiar with all the colors and the different temperatures associated with each one.<\/span> <\/div><\/div>

\"Dr.<\/p>\n

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

With concentrates, the Dr. Dabber Switch is <\/span>definitely outstanding!<\/b> The incredibly quick heat-up time, terrific flavor, and <\/span>large cloud size<\/b> will leave anyone impressed. The bubbler does a great job at filtering and cooling the hit by the time it makes it to your lungs, and overall the experience with wax is definitely among some of the best.<\/span><\/p>\n

With dry herbs, it\u2019s a different story entirely. Either the flavor is there but without any visible vapor being expelled, or there\u2019s a decent amount of vapor with a powerful ashy flavor. On the flip side, the induction heater coil is compatible with the <\/span>DynaVap M<\/b><\/a> or similar models, and it works extremely well for that!<\/span><\/p>\n

The vapor with dry herb is different from any other vaporizer, and while it\u2019s certainly not my favorite, I can understand how some people, particularly those who combust, may like it!<\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

At a premium price point, you\u2019ll be expecting premium build quality. The Dr. Dabber Switch <\/span>doesn\u2019t disappoint at all<\/b> in this aspect, and each piece feels wonderfully made just like the <\/span>Source Orb 4 Signature Kit<\/b><\/a>. The glass is high quality and relatively thick, the unit has a nice heft to it while being ergonomically viable, and aesthetically, it makes for a nice, high-tech centerpiece.<\/span><\/p>\n

The light show and intricate glass piece add to the aesthetic appeal, making the overall experience just that much better. Still, with such an expensive device, you\u2019d be expecting a quality OLED display or similar, rather than some standard LEDs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Dabber Switch includes a nice accessories list too, giving you the device itself, the bubbler, one white and one black ceramic heating dish, a wax container, reverse tweezers, and a user manual. Each accessory is also well made and suits the premium price tag.<\/span> <\/div><\/div>

\"Dr.Battery Life<\/h3>\n

The battery of the Dr. Dabber Switch Vaporizer claims up to 150 hits from a single charge, and there\u2019s no doubt in my mind that\u2019s true! The benefit of induction heating is it\u2019s extremely efficient, and it shows that here. To add to that, there\u2019s pass-through charging as well, so you can theoretically vape for an endless amount of time unlike the Puffco <\/span>Peak E-rig<\/b><\/a> or even its improved version, the <\/span>Puffco Peak Pro<\/b><\/a>, where it needs around 2 hours to charge before using it again. We wouldn\u2019t exactly recommend that though!<\/span><\/p>\n

While the Dr Dabber Switch battery is replaceable,<\/b> it <\/span>is proprietary<\/b>. When the battery does inevitably start to fail, you won\u2019t be stuck with an expensive centerpiece, which is reassuring.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

\"Dr.<\/h3>\n

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

Despite its intimidating appearance, the <\/span>Dr. Dabber Switch Vaporizer is surprisingly simple to use<\/b>, although not as simple as using the <\/span>Linx Blaze<\/b><\/a> that has a single button operation. However, once you understand how to load and use it, you are good to go. For use in group settings, the only instructions you need to give is \u201cwait for the red light to turn green, and then inhale\u201d. No complex draw technique or feathering of a carb hole, just straightforward hits.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cleaning and maintenance are also covered well<\/b>, as there\u2019s an integrated heating mode on the device itself. After holding the \u2018go\u2019 button for 5 seconds, the unit will automatically heat up to the max heat setting, burning off any residue from the little cups. For the glass piece, it\u2019s best to use some isopropyl alcohol to get rid of build-up.\u00a0<\/span> <\/div><\/div>

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

If someone can manage to discreetly use the Switch in a public setting, they deserve an award of some sort!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Dr. Dabber Switch is a bit on the large size and is likely one of the most conspicuous vaporizers on the market, there\u2019s about a 0% chance someone won\u2019t look twice if they see you taking a hit from it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Obviously, it wasn\u2019t designed with stealthy hits in mind like the <\/span>Utillian 5 (V3)<\/b><\/a>, so this category isn\u2019t really anything to consider.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Dr.Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

As one of the most boutique vaporizers around, the Dr. Dabber Switch E Rig certainly does a stellar job at what it was made for! While it\u2019s not the most portable wax vaporizer ever, that\u2019s what <\/span>Wax Pens<\/b><\/a> are for, which you can check out in our <\/span>Stella vaporizer review<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Switch is a great all in one e-nail compared to devices such as the <\/span>G Pen Connect<\/b><\/a> which require you to have your own glass.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though I\u2019m not particularly fond of using dry herbs with it. It\u2019s certainly worth it for the concentrates experience alone, though it\u2019s definitely not the best for someone on a budget.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are looking to do both dry herb and dabs with one device, perhaps take a look at the <\/span>AirVape Legacy Pro<\/b><\/a>. For one of the most solid concentrates vaporizers on the market, the Dr. Dabber Switch definitely will satisfy, but it comes at a hefty price.
