How it Works<\/h3>\n

The VLeaf is super cool and part of that coolness lays in its ease-of-use like the Utillian 722 Vaporizer<\/a>. The device works just like the majority of other handheld, portable vaporizers on the market.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is only one button located on the bottom that controls everything. Five clicks will turn it on and off. Two clicks increase the temperature incrementally to 5 preset levels before starting again. <\/span><\/p>\n

Three clicks tell you the battery level and that\u2019s about it for controls! Speaking of charging, a simple mini USB charger will fit with this unit but we recommend using the one in the box.<\/span><\/p>\n

Temperature Flexibility<\/h3>\n

There are a total of five different heat settings represented by a well-designed set of LED lights. This should be enough variety for any everyday vaper. <\/span><\/p>\n

The scale begins at 310 degrees Fahrenheit and gradually increasing to the highest temperature of 429 degrees Fahrenheit. The LEDs also indicate the device\u2019s remaining battery with one meaning it needs a charge and five telling you it\u2019s fully charged. Users who prefer to have control over their temperatures for the best experience usually tend to prefer units having one degree incremental temperature adjustments like the Arizer Solo 2<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Vapor Quality<\/h3>\n

The vapor quality of the VLeaf is actually pretty decent for the price. One thing we liked about the unit is the lack of draw resistance on the unit. We won’t say its exactly free flowing but it’s not nearly as milkshaky as you would find on other budget vaporizers.<\/p>\n

At the bottom 2 temperatures, there is not a ton of cloud production but the flavor is definitely there. The third temperature seems to be the sweet spot for vapor production without getting too hard.<\/p>\n

The 4th and 5th temperatures are pretty much reserved for those who like lots of vapor and who do not mind some irritation. Because of the short vapor path, we found the vapor at these temperatures to be a bit irritating on the throat, but some users do enjoy that type of experience so mileage may vary.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, it does produce vapor, it’s not the most flavorful or the best out there, but it does a decent job for the price. Users for whom price is not an issue and want a unit that is small in size yet does not compromise on the vapor quality tend to prefer the Zeus Arc GTS Hub<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Manufacturing Quality<\/h3>\n

The cigar-shaped vaporizer brings one word to mind: sturdy. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Vivant team did not slack on this one. The VLeaf feels awesome in the hand, heavy and well-made from a great combination of materials. <\/span><\/p>\n

The majority of this unit is made of steel which does not get too hot when activated and a handy rubber sleeve helps that out too. The mouthpiece is made of super heat-resistant plastic which should hold up to wear and tear over time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Users who do not want to compromise on their quality Vape experience usually tend to prefer the Slick Vaporizer<\/a> because it has a glass mouthpiece that never reacts with the vapor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As with many portable vaporizers on the market, the battery life isn\u2019t anything to write home about. In fact, this vaporizer requires a solid TWO hours to reach full charge. <\/span><\/p>\n

It will then last for varying amounts of time depending on, how often you use it and at which temperature. Expect to get up to 10 5-minute sessions from a full charge, unlike the Storz & Bickel Crafty<\/a> that just gives up to 3 – 5 sessions despite being an expensive unit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Portability<\/h3>\n

Hefty is another good word for the Vivant VLeaf. Now, don\u2019t get me wrong, it certainly is portable but you will definitely get some questionable stares when carrying it in your pocket due to its *ahem* \u2018cigar\u2019 like shape. <\/span><\/p>\n

Honestly, this piece fits comfortably in the hand but it is considerably heavy. A jacket pocket would sink if you were to place this inside. If the idea of lugging around a robust and weighty device doesn\u2019t sound appealing to you, then there are smaller alternatives like the Zeus Arc GTS Hub<\/a> and the Focus V Pro<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Ease of Use<\/h3>\n

No complaints in this department. In fact, the vaporizer is quick and easy to load thanks to a well-thought-through bevel above the chamber. The beveled edge sinks into the chamber in a sort of funnel shape. <\/span><\/p>\n

This means you don\u2019t have to be overly careful when loading the vape. As for the controls, well, you would really have to try if you didn\u2019t want to understand the one button system. It\u2019s as easy as click click. Seasoned users that prefer more options to have a better vaping experience of their choice tend to lean towards units like the Mighty<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Discreetness<\/h3>\n

Thanks to Vivant\u2019s great use of materials and build quality you will have a…bulky experience. Unfortunately, we can\u2019t have everything in life and for the small price, it\u2019s not surprising that this device is so large. <\/span><\/p>\n

That being said, it\u2019s by no means conspicuous, it\u2019s larger than the competition but not to an exaggerated point. Taking it out on the street or to the park should be no issue, just be aware that this isn\u2019t a tiny portable vaporizer like the Arizer Air 2<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Overall Experience<\/h3>\n

At the end of the day, the Vivant VLeaf is a pretty decent value vaporizer, while it’s not going to produce the most impressive vapor in the world and does feature plastic components, for $50USD it does what it is supposed to do, produce vapor.<\/p>\n

Those who would feel more comfortable with a glass vapor path in a budget vaporizer Utillian 420, which also features a digital display making it one of the best value vaporizers on the market.<\/p>\n
